Esika, God of the Tree: Bridges, Beasts, and Big Mana Dreams

Esika, God of the Tree // The Prismatic Bridge
B1Exhibition(0/10)

There are Commander decks you build for power, some for synergy, and a rare few you assemble simply because magic is meant to be fun. Enter Esika, God of the Tree // The Prismatic Bridge—a deck that turns every upkeep into an episode of "Mythic Roulette." When the DeckStir community selects a deck, you know it’s because it resonates with players who appreciate spectacle, unpredictability, and the raw thrill of cheating in haymakers for free.

The Commander

Esika, God of the Tree is a deceptively simple Selesnya-dressed god on one side, giving your legends vigilance and all the mana colors they could dream of. But let's be honest: the real star here is The Prismatic Bridge on the flip side. For five colors, it sits there, looking innocent—until every upkeep, it drops the hottest legend from the top of your deck directly onto the battlefield. No questions asked. No mana paid. Just legendary anarchy.

Game Plan

The deck’s primary goal is to get The Prismatic Bridge out as soon as possible—whether by perfectly flawless mana fixing (shout-out to Chromatic Lantern and Fabled Passage) or with a little help from Lotus Cobra and Solemn Simulacrum. Once the Bridge is up, you’re in business: every upkeep, you’ll unveil a new legend straight from your deck. That might be a beast like Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider to turbocharge your planeswalkers, or perhaps Omnath, Locus of Creation for a burst of value and some fancy triggers.

You’ll see a parade of multicolored legends, ranging from the value-packed Atraxa, Praetors’ Voice to the chaos-inducing Yarok, the Desecrated. Since every hit is a high-impact legend, your board presence escalates quickly—assuming you live long enough to untap. Meanwhile, cards like Vanquisher’s Banner and Guardian Project help refill your hand, while Heroes’ Podium turns your legendary horde into a formidable force.

Mana is the glue here, with every land type, color-fixing rock, and ramp spell included. Cultivate, Kodama’s Reach, and Skyshroud Claim are your bread and butter. Need removal? Anguished Unmaking and Beast Within have you covered. The deck runs a greatest-hits list of legendary creatures you’ve always wanted to cast, but never had the guts (or the mana base) to do so elsewhere.

Power & Bracket

Sitting at 0/10 in power level and securely in Bracket 1, this deck is the definition of casual. You’ll see plenty of big names but few of the fast, game-warping combos that define high-powered metas. No Dockside Extortionist shenanigans. No Tooth and Nail into an instant win. If you want to watch the table groan in awe (or sometimes laughter) as you reveal Nicol Bolas, the Ravager, this is your stage. But be warned: with great randomness comes great unpredictability, and sometimes your legendary slot machine will cough up a Rashmi, Eternities Crafter when you’re hoping for a god.

Should You Build It?

If you’re after the wild ride—the thrill of flipping the top card and never being quite sure what you’ll get—then Esika’s Bridge is the community’s darling for a reason. This is a deck for players who love spectacle, embrace chaos, and value the journey over the destination. It’s easy to pilot, endlessly amusing, and a celebration of Magic’s legendary history. Just don’t expect to win every game—unless, of course, you believe in the heart of the cards…and epic topdecks.
